We are looking for a new team member for our kitchen!

We are not necessarily looking for a trained chef but someone with a passion for cooking and experience in preparing large quantities of food. Career changers are welcome!


Our kitchen is vegetarian, often vegan. For lunch and dinner, we serve a buffet dish that is freshly prepared and presented by the chef (m/f/d) each day. Meat, like local game, is served only on special occasions. Our vision is to prepare meals with a high proportion of organic ingredients, preferably from the region, to promote sustainability in the kitchen.
If you have a repertoire of vegetarian and vegan recipes, and meat doesn’t need to be on your plate every day for sustainability reasons, Coconat is the right place for you. Don’t hesitate to apply.

Cook / Chef (m/f/d)

Part-time (10–30 hours per week)

Your Qualifications

  • COOKING: You’ll cook in our spacious kitchen, either with or without music, singing, dancing, or in complete focus — however, you like. The most important thing is that you cook delicious food with a lot of love.
  • PRESENTATION: You will present the buffet in an appealing way and, if you feel confident, you can present your food to our guests.
  • HYGIENE & ORDER: You’ll ensure that you follow hygiene rules and leave your workspace clean and organized for your colleagues.
  • DEVELOPMENT & SPECIAL TASKS: We’re also excited to get to know you, your skills, and personal goals, and together we’ll explore how you can develop further with us over time.

Your Skills

  • You have experience cooking for a large number of people, whether alone (up to 50 people) or in a team.

  • You enjoy trying new recipes and suggesting your own for our recipe collection. Our vision of vegetarian, sustainable cooking aligns with you.

  • You implement operational rules and hygiene standards, which are necessary for collective team work. You’re happy to contribute in team meetings to improve workflows.

  • You’re a team player and enjoy both cooking alone and with others.

  • You love pampering our guests with delicious food.

  • You remain calm and friendly even during stressful moments. You enjoy flat hierarchies and open communication.

  • You are fascinated by innovative, international environments, enjoy an entrepreneurial spirit, and identify with the values of Coconat.

Your Terms

  • Location: Coconat, 25 Klein Glien, Bad Belzig

  • Start date: Immediately

  • Hours: 10–30 hours/week

  • Note: As a community-driven tourism startup without wealthy investors, we cannot offer market-standard salaries. However, we provide lots of experience, future perspectives, a vibrant network of visionaries, applause from guests, and a lively community.
