What a wonderful year to Coconat – 2023

Dear Coconat Community,

Greetings from wintery Hoher Fläming! We trust your 2023 was as delightful as ours, filled with health, joy, and contentment. As we reflect on the year, here’s a ‘little’ update on our ventures and exciting developments.

This year, we took a slightly gentler pace, still, our projects were far from dormant:

COCONAT Construction:
-Our focus shifted to smaller-scale projects, with notable progress on COCOLAB. and The Vault.
-A highlight was the Easter Subotnik, where an incredible team rejuvenated the building and doors. Nostalgic and reminiscent of Coconat’s early days!

University Collaborations: Initiating collaborations with Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin and University of Applied Sciences and Arts, students explored incorporating solar panels on our historical buildings and reimagining the old stone barn into a modern seminar hotel, respectively.

-Mycelium Research:
COCOLAB. delved into fungal mycelium as a material, working with the local Institut für Lebensmittel- und Umweltforschung e.V. Exciting projects ahead, including sound-absorbing panels made from fungal material.

Awards and Recognitions:
-In July we were awarded by the ‘Land and People’ competition organized by the Wüstenrot Stiftung, in Apolda
-Coconat received the Digital Places in the Land of Ideas award nomination for the Kunstwanderweg XR augmented reality project.
-We also achieved *star* classification by the German Tourism Association.

Sharing:
-Engaging in numerous events, we were speakers or co-organizers at prestigious conferences republica GmbH, the Brandenburg Camp TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH , the Berlin-Brandenburg Coworking Festival 2022, the Coliving Conference in Amsterdam, the Potsdam Business Network and Business Festival, the Cross Border Coworking Conference in Montenegro, the Smart Country Convention, Coworking Europe in Porto and the Berlin Travel Festival

Local Impact:
-Coconat will continue to host events and to be a hub for local collaborations, hosting events like
-the Fläminger Kreativsause, which is now supported as a kulturellen Ankerpunkte for Potsdam-Mittelmark.
-We welcomed a new mayor in Bad Belzig and actively support @Smart Village e.V.’s innovative projects.

As we plan for the future, real estate development takes center stage, including a housing project for the common good, a seminar hotel, stilt houses, and more. Coaching with Social Impact GmbH supports our decision-making.

And lastly, our ever-growing family! We started with bees, then had chickens, and now, we’re excited to share that we have two horses (on loan, at least temporarily). Where will it all end?

The journey continues, and we’re grateful for your ongoing support.

Finanzbuchhalter*in (w/m/d)

Wir suchen zur Unterstützung unseres Teams einen Menschen der Freude an den Zahlen
hinter den Dingen hat. Wenn du ein*e leidenschaftliche*r Zahlenjongleur*in bist, ist

Dein Aufgabenbereich

• Selbstständiges Bearbeiten und Buchen der laufenden Kostenstellen-Buchhaltung
  als Alleinbuchhalter*in für Banken, Sachkonten, Anlagekonten, Kreditoren,
  Reisekosten, paypal und Kreditkartenabrechnungen.
• Einrichten/Updaten der Software [DATEV (Unternehmen Online / Faktura
  Mittelstand / Kostenrechnung classic)
• Optimierung Buchhaltungsprozesse (z.B. bruchlose digitale Belegarchivierung)
• Synchronisation Hotelbuchungssoftware LodgIT – DATEV (Erlöskonten, Kasse,
  Forderungen)
• Mitwirkung bei der Projektbuchhaltung
• Leitfäden für Teammitglieder (z.B. Kassenbuchführung Rezeption)
• Ordentliche Führung der notwendigen Ablageordner sowie Unterstützungen bei
  externen Prüfungen (z.B. KSK, Förderprogramme…)
• Buchen der Monatsabschlüsse mit Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen
• Definition und Einrichtung zentraler Kennzahlen (Umsatzrendite/Gewinn…)
• Monatliche Messung und Reporting des Betriebsergebnis an Geschäftsführung
• Kostenkontrolle nach Unternehmensbereichen mit Kostenstellen
• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Personalbuchführung, der administrativen Stelle und
  der Geschäftsführung.
• Ggf. Einrichtung von Point of Sale-Systemen (Pub/Essen)
• Ggf. Einführung von Kosten- und Leistungsrechnung

Deine Qualifizierung

● Du bist fasziniert von innovativen Umgebungen, magst Unternehmergeist und
kannst dich mit den Besonderheiten des Unternehmens Coconat identifizieren.
● Du verfügst über eine kaufmännische Ausbildung, ein vergleichbares Studium oder
eine andere Qualifikation im Bereich Bilanz-Buchführung.
● Du würdest dich selbst als disziplinierte, strukturiert und organisiert arbeitende
Person bezeichnen.
● Du bist es gewohnt in digitalen Teams zu arbeiten
● Du verfügst über umfangreiche Erfahrung mit DATEV und langjährige Erfahrung in
der Finanzbuchhaltung in kleinen oder mittelständigen Unternehmen
● Du hast Erfahrungen mit Buchungs-, Datenbank- und Hotelmanagementsoftware
oder kannst Dich leicht in neue Programme einarbeiten.
● Du sprichst fließend Deutsch und hast zumindest keine Angst vor Englisch und
fühlst dich in internationalen Kontexten wohl.
● Qualifizierung im Bereich Kosten- und Leistungsrechnung ist von Vorteil
● Erfahrungen in der Abrechnung von Fördermitteln von Vorteil

Die Konditionen

• Arbeitsort: Bad Belzig, OT Klein Glien / remote work nach Absprache
• Arbeitsbeginn: Oktober 2023
• Umfang: 5-15h/Woche (je nach Umfang des Aufgabenbereichs)
