The Rabbit Games Residency 2026 – Call for Applications

Applications open: May 11 – June 07, 2026 (Midnight Berlin Time)
Residency dates: October 26 – November 20, 2026

Hop into the Rabbit Hole — and come out pitch-ready!

Good game? Great team? It’s time to hop on to the next level.

If selected, you’ll join The Rabbit Residency 2026 — a one-of-a-kind opportunity to focus, grow, and connect with fellow indie game developers in Berlin and Brandenburg — completely free of charge.

Over four immersive weeks, you’ll get dedicated development time, a cozy creative environment, personalized coaching, and plenty of peer-to-peer learning to help take your game to the next level.

And yes — you’ll also pitch at the exclusive Rabbit Showcase during Games Ground Berlin (Nov 5–8, 2026). But that’s just one part of this magical warren of support.

Residency Goals — What’s at the End of the Rabbit Hole

  • Perfect your pitch — learn how to pitch to publishers, investors, and industry partners
  • Strengthen your team — tackle game-dev challenges with expert guidance in art, tech, narrative, marketing, production, and more
  • Hop into Berlin & Brandenburg’s indie scene — spend a month alongside developers facing similar challenges, learn from each other, and build lasting friendships
  • Explore Brandenburg and become part of its growing creative ecosystem
  • Join the Rabbit family — once a Rabbit, always a Rabbit
  • Experience cozy, cheeky peer-learning with an international mix of warm and talented humans (because bunnies are simply more fun)

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome local teams from Berlin and Brandenburg as well as international applicants from all corners of the globe. We aim for a 50/50 mix of local and non-local participants.

The Rabbit is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. We especially encourage applications from:

  • Communities underrepresented in the games industry
  • Developers from the Global South
  • Creators without access to public funding opportunities

Accessibility and travel support are considered individually based on need.

Please note:

  • Only digital games are eligible (no physical or tabletop games)
  • Projects using generative AI content will not be accepted

If you participated in Press Start or are Rabbit Alumni, you are still welcome to apply — though priority will be given to first-time participants.
