If selected, youβll join The Rabbit Residency 2025, a one-of-a-kind opportunity to focus, grow, and connect with fellow indie game devs in Berlin and Brandenburg β for free. Over four immersive weeks, youβll get dedicated time, a cozy creative environment, personalized coaching, and loads of peer-to-peer learning to help take your game to the next level.
And yes, youβll also get to pitch at the exclusive Rabbit showcase during Games Ground Berlin (Nov 13β16) β but thatβs just one part of this magical warren of support.
Residency Goals β Whatβs at the end of the Rabbit Hole?
- Perfect your pitch learn how to pitch to publishers, investors and other professional partners
- Strengthen your team by tackling individual game-dev challenges with expert guidance in areas such as art, tech, narrative, marketing, etc.
- Hop into Berlin/Brandenburg’s gaming scene, spend a month with a small group of indie-devs with similar goals and challenges as you, learn from and support each other, become lifetime friends.
- Explore Brandenburg and become part of its growing creative ecosystem
- Join the Rabbit family β once a Bunny, always a Bunny! π°
- Enjoy cheeky, cozy, inspired peer learning with an international mix of warm talented folks (because bunnies are just more fun)
Who We’re Looking For
We welcome local teams from Berlin and Brandenburg as well as international applicants from all corners of the globe. We aim for a 50/50 mix of local and non-local participants.
The Rabbit is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. We especially encourage applications from teams underrepresented in the games industry, those from the Global South, and those without access to public funding.
Note: If you are participating in Press Start or are a Rabbit Alumni, youβre still welcome to apply β but new applicants will be prioritized.
Eligibility & Application Requirements
- Game stage: Projects should be beyond concept β ideally in prototype or production phase.
- Team size: Maximum of 4 team members (per team/studio) will be funded.
- Pitch readiness: You should be close to pitching or actively preparing. Funded projects or projects with a publisher or investor are welcome too.
- Experience: Share past experience with pitching, marketing, and storytelling.
- Support needs: Youβll be paired with a personal team coach. Let us know what kind of support youβre looking for β from Narrative Design to QA, Marketing to Funding.
- Residency dates: You must be available for the full duration: Nov 2β29, 2025
- Games Ground Berlin: Participation in the Rabbit Pitch Showcase (Nov 13β16) is expected.
- In total we will accept 15 participants
What to Submit
- A short intro video of your team and your game
- A written team & game summary
- A clear development roadmap for your game
- Your residency goals and coaching needs
- A brief reflection on your teamβs diversity, context, and background
How to Apply
