COCONAT stands for community and concentrated work in nature.

Flämingo Startup Accelerator.

Coconat has been bringing international knowledge workers and computer workers together in Brandenburg since 2017
and has been recognized for this as a cultural and creative pilot and with the
German Tourism Award. Since 2023, COCOLAB. in the former cattle barn has also been offering
this idea to manual workers, and since 2025 we have been focusing
particularly on international and impact-oriented startups.

The open workshop has a CNC milling machine, laser cutter, 3D printer, fusing
oven, film editing station, and screen printing equipment, as well as leisure-time infrastructure such as billiards and
foosball. The digital and analog worlds, as well as the city and the countryside, come together here and
create a new kind of space for creativity and innovation. The target groups are local
makers, startups, and workation guests who book creative team-building workshops here.

 

 

 

Our team is looking for a
COCOLAB workshop manager (f/m/d) to start as soon as possible.)

 

You are the central figure at COCOLAB, both internally and externally, and you take care of
both the technical and social structure of the workshop from a user-oriented perspective.
Passionate and independent, you will further develop a central
area of the company and make the workshop and the region a beacon
of rural maker culture. You always have an open ear for the needs of users,
an eye for beautiful images and good stories, and inspire visitors with
fascinating events on site. You love being part of a strong team,
building a community in an open space, and, as a maker yourself, getting your
hands dirty from time to time.
The project position is funded until at least December 31, 2028, through the ILB program Startupzentren
Brandenburg.

Your responsibilities

- Startup support: Program participants from the Flämingo Startup Hub and permanent
tenants / Integration of COCOLAB. into existing programs (e.g., rabbit Game
developer residency)
- Team member Flämingo Startup Hub: Part of the creative industries project team (including
selection jury for startups, quarterly project meetings)
- Maker’ community: Management of memberships, machine operator licenses, open
lab days, and maker get-togethers
- Maker workshops: Planning and implementation, especially as team-building
measures for Coconat guests
- Maintenance: Machines and infrastructure, locking and security systems,
equipment and further workshop expansion, as well as coordination with the cleaning
and janitorial team
- Event management, e.g., Maker Christmas market and Fläminger Kreativsause
- Booking integration: Embedding workshop offerings (team building, rooms) in
Coconat’s sales activities and booking process
- Public relations: Content for social media and newsletters, as well as website
updates and flyers
- In-house production: Signs and merchandise (e.g., T-shirts) for Coconat and Flämingo.
- Partnerships: Deepening and establishing partnerships (e.g., network of open workshops,
chamber of crafts, universities) and developing cooperation projects
- Fundraising: Submitting our own applications or assisting with the permanent
ensuring the financial viability of the workshop, e.g., residence
programs
- External production: Possible development of local production capacities (e.g.,
prototypes, merchandising, or company signs)

We are aware that this wide range of tasks cannot be fulfilled by a single part-time position.
Depending on qualifications, priorities should therefore be set jointly

 

Your qualifications

- You have solid experience in project management and find a good basis for productive cooperation with most people.
- You are fascinated by innovative environments, like entrepreneurial spirit, and can identify with the special features of the Coconat company.
- You have a talent for improvisation, keep track of things in stressful and confusing moments, and like flat hierarchies.
- You are fluent in English (German is also welcome) and feel comfortable in international contexts.
- You have in-depth knowledge of the following areas:

- Start-up experience, personal knowledge of the coworking scene, and
interest in rural development/social entrepreneurship are an advantage

Du bist nach innen und außen die zentrale Person im COCOLAB. und kümmerst dich aus
einer nutzerorientierten Perspektive sowohl um die technische als auch das soziale Struktur
der Werkstatt. Leidenschaftlich und selbstständig entwickelst du dabei einen zentralen
Unternehmensbereich weiter und machst die Werkstatt und die Region zu einem Leuchtturm
ländlicher Makerkultur. Du hast immer ein offenes Ohr für die Bedürfnisse der Nutzer*innen,
ein Gespür für schöne Bilder und gute Geschichten und begeisterst Besucher*innen mit
faszinierenden Veranstaltungen vor Ort. Du liebst es Teil eines starken Teams zu sein, eine
Community an einem offenen Ort aufzubauen und als dir als Maker auch mal selber die
Hände schmutzig zu machen.

Die Projektstelle ist bis mindestens 31.12.2028 über das ILB Programm Startupzentren
Brandenburg finanziert.

Uns ist bewusst, dass diese Fülle von Aufgaben nicht von einer einzigen Teilzeitstelle
erfüllt werden kann. Je nach Qualifikation sollen daher gemeinsam Schwerpunkte
festgelegt werden.

Deine Qualifizierung

 Du verfügst über solide Erfahrungen im Projektmanagement und findest mit den
meisten Menschen eine gute Basis für produktive Zusammenarbeit.
 Du bist fasziniert von innovativen Umgebungen, magst Unternehmergeist und kannst
dich mit den Besonderheiten des Unternehmens Coconat identifizieren.
 Du verfügst über Improvisationstalent, behältst in stressigen und unübersichtlichen
Momenten den Überblick und magst flache Hierarchien.
 Du sprichst fließend Englisch (gerne auch Deutsch) und fühlst dich in internationalen
Kontexten wohl.
 Du hast fundierte Kenntnisse im handwerklichen Bereich und / oder
computergesteuerten Produktionsmethoden, gute Computerkenntnisse
sowie Grundkenntnisse der Buchhaltung
 Du lebst im Hohen Fläming oder bist bereit deinen Lebensmittelpunkt kurzfristig
