Als Arbeitsplatz und Rückzugsort gleichermaßen gedacht, öffnet Coconat seine Pforten vom 22.08. – 20.09. für den „Sommer der Pioniere“.
4 Wochen voller Energie, Kennenlernen, Meinungsaustausch, in denen Interessierte einen der ersten Co-Working Arbeitsplätze ausprobieren können, der neben der Möglichkeit zu arbeiten auch einen Rückzugsort darstellt.
Coconat kombiniert die Vorteile und Technologie eines urbanen Arbeitsplatzes mit der beruhigenden Stille der Natur.
Jeder, der standortunabhängig arbeitet, oder nach einer Location sucht, mit der er für sein kleines Team eine willkommene Abwechslung zum sonst hektischen Arbeitsalltag schaffen möchte, ist willkommen. Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten stehen vor Ort zur Verfügung.
Coconat wurde aus dem Wunsch heraus ins Leben gerufen, die Energie und Inspiration der Natur ins Arbeitsleben zu integrieren, dabei ist Ihre Produktivität unser wichtigster Fokus.

Das Coconat Workation Retreat finden Sie, nach nur einer Stunde Zugfahrt, im südwestlichen Brandenburg, gelegen im idyllischen Städtchen Götzerberge
Das Anwesen besteht aus einer 1870 erbauten Privat-Villa, die 1970 zu einem architektonisch anspruchsvollen Urlaubs-Resort umgebaut wurde. Gepaart mit dem historischen Lustgarten und dem romantisch gelegen Turm, bietet die Örtlichkeit die perfekte Symbiose aus Arbeitsplatz und Rückzugsort inmitten ursprünglicher Natur.
Das Anwesen hält diverse Möglichkeiten bereit um sich zum Arbeiten mit dem Laptop zurückzuziehen, den Wintergarten Co-Arbeitsplatz, eine der gemütlichen kleinen Hütten, den Garten, oder am Pfad zum Fluß.
An Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten stehen Indoor-Camping und kleine Bungalows zur Verfügung.
Das Coconat Retreat versteht sich als ein Platz der Ruhe, nicht aber der Isolation. Die Mahlzeiten werden gemeinsam eingenommen, und auch die Abende bieten den Gästen am Lagerfeuer oder eingekuschelt in der Lounge viel Raum für Austausch.
Am 22. August öffnet Coconat seine Pforten zur ersten Open House und Grand Pioneer Party, um Interessierten aus Berlin und aus der Nachbarschaft das Projekt vorzustellen, das Gelände zu zeigen, unsere Partner und erste Nutzer kennenzulernen. Zudem gibts live Musik von Ashia and the Bison Rouge.
Für den digitalen Nomaden, der gerne an ungewöhnlichen abgelegenen Orten arbeitet, zwar neugierig, aber sich bis jetzt noch nicht ans Arbeiten auf dem Lande gewagt hat, sei unser am 29-30 August 2015 stattfindender Digital Nomad Pop-Up event empfohlen. Dort gibt es eine Mischung aus Co-Working in der Natur, praktische Ratschläge von Menschen, die diese Arbeitsweise bereits praktizieren und Geschichten am Lagerfeuer.

PRESS RELEASE:: Germany’s First Workation Retreat Opens ‘Summer of Pioneers’
Relax and Get Some Work Done Just Outside of Berlin
22 August 2015, Götzerberge – Coconat – a workation retreat will open it’s doors for it’s ‘Summer of Pioneers’ from 22 August to 20 September. For an energetic 4 weeks, people can try one of the world’s first dedicated workation retreats.
A ‘workation retreat’ combines the conveniences and technology of an urban workspace with the leafy peacefulness of the countryside.
Anyone who works location independently, or is looking for a unique break-out location for their small team, is welcome. Overnight stays can be arranged for a matter of days or weeks.
‘Coconat exists to bring new energy and inspiration in to work, and your productivity is our main focus. You only need to think on your project or about enjoying your free-time, we take care of everything else.’ says Julianne Becker, Co-founder of Coconat.
Located in the Southwest of Brandenburg, Coconat is just a one-hour train ride from Berlin to the small village of Götzerberge. The property promises not to disappoint with its truly unique history intact and ready to be experienced. An 1870s Villa was transformed in the 1970s GDR to a working holiday resort, and left with an amazing mix of architectural styles. Not to mention the historical Lustgarten and romantic tower in the back
Working and sleeping are easy done. If it is with a laptop or for a meeting, people can settle in to the Wintergarten coworking space, the garden picnic table, the cozy cabin, or even quickly down the path to the river. Accommodation this year is simple and sweet, with either an indoor camping experience or in that same cozy cabin mentioned before.
It is a place for solitude, but not isolation. Mealtimes are a shared event, along with low-key evenings around the campfire or nestled into the lounge on cooler nights.
On 22 August will be the Open House and Grand Pioneer Party, come by for tours, to meet partners, first users, listen to Ashia and the Bison Rouge live, and celebrate with the community – both local and from Berlin.
For the digital nomad curious, those who can work remotely but have not taken the plunge yet, then perhaps the Digital Nomad Pop-up event from 29-30 August is right for you. Expect some practical advice from leaders in the scene, campfire stories, and of course some coworking.

Notes from a super early sneak preview (nur auf Englisch verfügbar)
Janosch and Julianne were so kind to host me for three days even though Coconat had not officially opened yet. I was urgently looking for a place to do some intensive writing on my habilitation and at the same time not completely miss out on the beautiful summer by sitting in a library in downtown Berlin all day.
Coconat was pretty perfect for exactly this combination. Going for a swim in the lake or a run in the woods? It’s all possible in the immediate neighborhood. The workstations were not ready yet, so i was mostly writing at a picknic table in the beautiful garden and in an improvised office space in a former kitchen. Both places were alright but, telling from the plans, the future workspaces are going to top that by orders of magnitude. Looking forward with excitement to experiencing that!
For me by far the most important ingredient of a place like this is the atmosphere, and I was totally amazed by the welcoming, relaxed, and at the same time buzzing, focused and productive vibes that fill the entire site. OH, and not to forget the delicious food. And the campfire in the evening. And a lovely crowd of Coconat supporters that were there to help with the renovating and rebuilding. I will definitely be back!
